The Fake Project

The Fake Project is a research project of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of CNR, which aims to study the phenomenon of Fake Twitter Followers in a scientific manner.

We developed a Fake Follower Classifier trained with a baseline of human and fake follower accounts, able to distinguish between human, fake and inactive accounts. It is still a prototype and has not yet publicly released. For any further detail, you can reach us sending an email to fakeproject@iit.cnr.it.
